Fish & Chip and Curry Night – The Rising Sun Hurley – Friday 22nd September 2023
September 22 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Please sign up for the event here to confirm you attendance and menu choices.
Confirmation of attendance and menu selection must be made by no later that Monday 18th to allow us to communicate with the pub.
Those who wish to do so may make a selection from the wider menu.
Menu can be found here: https://risingsunhurley.co.uk/the-spring-summer-menu/
If you wish to moor up on the island please advise boat name, length and beam within the same time frame and within the sign up form.
The first drink will be paid for by the Club!!
Mooring costs will be modest and spit equally by boat. This will be sorted retrospectively.
Meal and drinks bills should be settled directly with the pub on the evening.
We have block booked the mooring space on the island behind the lock. We should have more than enough space especially if a few are happy to raft on. All the lock keeper has asked, is that we moor in a manner that permits unobstructed upward and downward passage for those who moor their boats further up the inlet.
It is envisaged that many of those choosing to moor up will remain on board overnight. We will endeavour to leave enough space for those who simply wish to pop over on their boat or by dinghy, to visit the pub before heading back to HF for the night. Priority will be given to those choosing to stay overnight.
All I ask is that all skippers moor in a manner that makes best use of space. I will be on hand to provide directions and take lines. To allow sufficient time for organising the boats, please navigate to the island by no later than 18:00.
Format for the evening
The Rising Sun is roughly a half mile walk from the moorings.
Seating will be casual but an effort will be made to block off an area of the pub – or if weather is good enough, the garden. The whole idea is to cause members to mingle, and if the weather is decent, hopefully carry on socialising around the boats following the pub.
Please dress for the weather.
We look forward to seeing you there!
